"Picpic" time

Noah decided today to have a "picpic" (picnic) with his baby in the hallway. He went and got the goldfish crackers and was feeding them to the baby giraffe.

Oops...he made a mess and dumped the crackers all over the floor and then decided he would go get his vacuum to clean it all up! It's funny how their thought process works.

Playroom

I ordered these cling-on trucks and cars to put on the *road* around the room. They should be here next week and I will put a new picture up then. But, I think the room turned out nicely. Now I just have to figure out what to put on the walls!!

I've been painting...a lot

So, I have been painting my butt off and am proud to say that my entire upstairs has been painted!!! Hallelujah! Here are the most recent projects that I have taken on:

Master bedroom (went from white to a "sagey" green) (Oh, and notice I have an actual bed now!!!) :The master bath is now a green color, too. It is the same color family as my bedroom but one shade lighter:And the hallway has been painted, too!!! :

Logan's Room

I finally got around to painting Logan's room today. It looks so good...like a big boy room :(

Anyways, this is the before:

The base color is called sterling...it is a gray/blue color. And then I painted the blue squares to put the letters in. I think it looks pretty cool and completely eliminates the need for expensive artwork! I also painted an "L" over his dresser in the navy blue.

Happy "Valentimes" Day!!

We made heart shaped cakes today for Valentine's Day (one day late, I know). The boys helped cook them and then we decorated them with sprinkles and heart candies. They had fun!! Oh and please excuse the dirty kitchen in the background of the pictures, I was cooking dinner at the same time!

Letter C

Things we love that begin with C:

1. Christmas: It's hard to think about right now, but we love Christmas! It's is just an awesome holiday that revolves around family and friends. I love all the parties and get togethers. I can't wait for the boy's elementary school parties and all those things. Fun stuff!

2. Candy: Although I would love to say that I hate candy and I never let my kids have it, I would be totally lying if I did. Over the years of being a mom I have decided that being TOO strict and nutty is no fun and is really not worth it. So, I've opened up and my children can have candy and cookies (another c). Not all the time, but I think a little is better than none now and binging later.

3. Corollas: Seriously, this car is getting a little too small for our needs, but has been an awesome car. We bought it the month before we got married, so it is 5 years old and is still is awesome shape. Eventually we are going to have to spring for something a little larger, but not for a while.

4. Cleveland Indians: We are Indians nuts as I have said before. We are not from there, we don't have any ties there at all...we just love good baseball! :)

Just Random!

So, I got a new camera for Valentine's Day...thanks honey! I finally have one that actually catches the smile and not that half drunken post smile glaze my children seem to have. I love it...and love these boys!

The Letter B

1. Baseball! We love the Cleveland Indians! The beginning of baseball season is always so exciting because that means summer is coming!

2. Boys- I love my little boys so much! They are such cool kids...not to mention cute ones! Honestly, I thought I wanted girls, but I don't know what I would do without my little boys!

3. Granny Barker- Okay not totally a B, but we do love her none the less! She died about 2 years ago and I miss her so much! She was an awesome lady with a beautiful heart! I'm so glad she got to meet Noah before she passed.

4. Backyard cookouts!

Letter A

So, I've totally let the blog go...no good reason really. Just lazy. So, I'm going to steal something from my sister in law and do alphabet soup all this week.

Things we love that start with A:

1. America: we live in an awesome country no matter what anyone says! Where else is there a Starbucks on every corner and a Walmart in ever town. Great stuff!

2. Aunt Allie: We seriously love Aunt Allie to death! Logan and Noah are constantly asking about her.

3. April: April is such a changing point in the year. The weather starts warming up and the flowers start blooming. Truly a beautiful time of year!

4. Armed Forces: I love our military men and women. I look up to anyone who pute their life on the line for our country. Many of you know my brother is in the Navy, and I couldn't be more proud of him.

5. Apples: We love us some apples around here. We love everything about them: apple sauce, apple picking, apple pie, apple ANYTHING! And, I love my Apple iPod:)

Tomorrow we will be onto letter B. Yay!

I need help!!

Okay, so I got this beautiful new bedding...it's not exactly black and white it's black and beige. It is so gorgeous, but now I have no idea about the paint. Ideas please!!!! I wish I could find the hardware to my bed...it would look so great with the new bedding!



There is my beautiful rod iron canopy bed in the corner of the picture...I have to find the stuff to put it together soon!

Didn't the man room (or "daddy's playroom as the boys call it) turn out great? I was super skeptical about the red paint, but I must admit that I love it!
It's Dillan's zone...fully equipped with a couch, tv, playstation, satellite tv, and a fridge...it's pretty awesome!

Dear Santa...I've been (mostly) good this year

The boys made their Santa letters finally! Sorry, my camera lense had a fingerprint on it so it's a little blury.

We waited too long to mail them, so Santa will just have to read them when he visits our house. The boys both drew pictures on them of what they wanted...Logan drew a candy cane. Noah scribbled. Who knew?

We finally got all moved in Wednesday! The only room that is done is the kitchen...here are some pictures!

Walk through!!

We are FINALLY closing on our house next week! I can't believe that it has been this long already. We started the process in Feb...whew! We did our first walk through today. Here are some new pictures...everything is almost done, but we still have no appliances so the kitchen does not look complete yet.

I will be living here next week! How weird. It looks so pretty with the garage door closed.I just love this light in the foyer! The kitchen is going to be so nice! All the appliances that are missing are professional (less the gas stove) stainless steelThis is a close up of the travertine backsplash in the kitchen.
And, this is the master vanity. It is the comfort height cabinets and the granite counter tops. I'm so excited! I will be sure to put more pictures up next week when we get moved in!!
